Antico Albergo Terme, Bagni Caldi

Antico Albergo Terme is located in Bagni di Lucca, half an hour away from the ski slopes of Abetone, from Viareggio and Versilia and just 25 km away from Lucca. Its particular geographical position offers the benefits of both a mountainous and coastal climate and numerous attractions offered by the area.

The area’s popularity dates back to ancient times: from the 16th to the 19th century poets such as Byron, Shelley and Montale have visited these lands, as have writers such as Dumas, Heine, Lamartine and Ouida, the great Paganini and European aristocracy such as Napoleon with his beautiful sister Paolina.

The hotel is directly connected to the spa by a tunnel and has an indoor spa pool with flowing water at a temperature of 30°C, enclosed by beautiful windows overlooking the valley of Bagni di Lucca and ceilings decorated in warm colours, as are the changing rooms.

The hotel has its own garden, a private car park and a restaurant, it offers babysitting services and it welcomes small pets.

The hotel has 27 rooms overlooking the beautiful and unforgettable Tuscan countryside, all equipped with an en-suite bathroom with a shower cubicle and a hairdryer, complimentary toiletries, a bathrobe, satellite TV, a telephone, a mini-bar and a safe-deposit box.

Five superior rooms have recently been created in the extension of the hotel to add to the existing 22 standard rooms.

All of the rooms are furnished with fine furniture and are enhanced by special materials such as travertine in the bathrooms, wooden floors and walls in Geopietra® stone veneer.

All of the rooms (except one) have a large, furnished sunbathing terrace, are air-conditioned, have a flat screen TV, facilities to connect a PC to Internet and offer an extra set of bath linen (a towelling bathrobe and towel) for use in the spa pool, which is presented to guests in an elegant wicker basket.
