Razza del Casalone, Grosseto

Razza del Casolone is an elegant agriturismo located in the heart of the Maremma Toscana region, situated on the Strada delle Collacchie which takes you to Marina di Grosseto and 10km from the sea. The proximity to the centre offers the possibility to admire the historic Medici Walls and the characteristic streets of the old part of the town.

A good base for visiting all the local attractions like the National Park dell'Uccellina, the Etruscan ruins in Roselle, Siena and the Saturnia Thermal baths, the building is made up of a farm house and stables which have been converted in to 7 apartments which in the past were dedicated to the rearing of the Casalone breed.

Guests have access to a large garden and park lined with pinetrees, evergreen holm oaks and cypress trees; illuminated at night and adorned with tables and chairs in front of the house and the old stables; an outdoor pool which is open between May and October, a Wi-Fi Internet access zone, a welcoming common room with a reading area and open fire and a lunch area for groups.

The agriturismo offers cooking courses and local product tasting, it can host company trips amongst the 60 hectares of land where a crop rotation of cereals and olives are grown and the barn which rears Fresian dairy cows.

Guests are asked to note that check in is open between 15:00 and 19:00 excluding national holidays and Sundays.

From mid July until the end of August guests are requested to book week long stays beginning on a Saturday.

The resort has 7 apartments available found in the old stables that consist of a double or twin bedroom with air conditioning, a living room with a kitchenette, a sofa bed, a colour television, heating and an en suite bathroom with a shower.

The main farmhouse has an additional five apartments, two three-room apartments and three two-room apartments:

- Sughera: consists of a double or twin bedroom, a living room with a kitchenette and a sofa bed, a fireplace, a colour television, heating and an en suite bathroom with a bathtub.

- Quercia: consists of a double or twin bedroom, a living room with a kitchenette and a sofa bed, a fireplace, a colour television and an en suite bathroom with a shower.

- Alloro: consists of a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, an eat-in kitchen, a colour television and an en suite bathroom with a shower.

- Pino: located on the top floor and consists of a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, a living room with a kitchenette and a sofa bed, a colour television, heating and an en suite bathroom with a shower.

- Leccio: located on the top floor and consists of a double or twin bedroom, a living room with a kitchenette and a sofa bed, a colour television, heating and an en suite bathroom with a shower.
