The restaurant is run directly by the owners and serves typical local and national dishes with an extensive buffet of salads and desserts.

By car

Alta Valtellina is crossed by the SS38 dello Stelvio state road, which goes up the valley of Adda da Colico to the passage after which it is named, and then heads down to Valvenosta. From Bormio, the SS301 del Foscagno state road departs towards Livigno as well as the SS300 del Gavia state road, which goes to Santa Caterina Valfurva and Valcamonica (in the summer).

Summer Access

From Milan (200 km away): Take the SS36 Milano – Lecco – Colico state road and then take the SS38 state road towards Sondrio – Bormio – Santa Caterina Valfurva.

From Bolzano (the Brennero motorway): take Passo dello Stelvio.

From Triveneto, take Passo del Tonale and then Passo del Gavia.

From Engadina, take Passo della Forcola and then Passo del Bernina.

Winter Access

Take the Passo del Gallo tunnel (closed at night) for those coming from Engadina, Alto Adige or Austria.

From central or southern Italy: take the Bologna – Milano motorway; follow the directions above From Milano.

Take the Modena – Brennero motorway to the Brescia Ovest exit; head along the SS510 state road towards Boario Terme and then take the SS42 state road towards Edolo, then take the SS39 state road towards Aprica – Tirano – Bormio – Santa Caterina Valfurva.

From the north: go through Tirano – Passo Bernina (open all year), or alternatively, Livigno – Zernez – Tunnel della Drossa (open all year from 8.00 – 20.00).

By train

The local railway station is the Tirano station, the last stop on the Ferrovie Italiane and Ferrovie Retiche railway lines.

Connecting buses are available for trains coming from Milan.

Passo Gavia 2621 m (from the province of Brescia), which leads to Santa Caterina Valfurva, open from the beginning of June to the end of October.

Passo del Mortirolo 1852 m (from the province of Brescia), which leads to Mazzo, Grosio, Bormio, open from May to September.

Passo dell'Aprica 1176 m (from the province of Brescia), open all year round.

Passo San Marco 1992 m (from the province of Bergamo), which leads to Morbegno, Sondrio, Tirano, Bormio, open from May to November.

Passo di Santa Maria 2502 m (from Switzerland), which connects to the road going from Stelvio to Bormio, open from May to November.

Passo della Forcola 2315 m (from Switzerland) which leads down to Livigno, open from May to November.
