La Floridiana, Capri

The Bar in which breakfast is served has a splendid terrace with a view of the sea; the American Bar offers guests a rich selection of wines.

By car

From the North:

Take the Sole A1 motorway and exit at Napoli. Continue along the Tangenziale until arriving at the exit for Fuorigrotta and follow the indications for the Porto. Non-residents are allowed to embark with their autos only during the low season (indicatively from November to the end of March) and only by ferryboat.

In Naples, it is advised to leave the car in an authorised and guarded car park. At Molo Beverello, a small open car park is available (estimated cost is 15 € per day). Alternatively, there is the Parcheggio di Interscambio Autosilo Brin, located on Via Brin (estimated cost is 10€ per day).

At the Mergellina port, there is a car park on Via G. Bruno (starting at 11 € per day) or the San Nazaro car park located in Piazza San Nazaro.

By ferryboat or hydrofoil

The island of Capri can be reached:

- from Naples by ferryboat (80 minutes, approximately 8 €), or by hydrofoil (45 minutes, approximately 16 €);

- From Sorrento by ferryboat (20 minutes, approximately 8 €), or by hydrofoil (20 minutes, approximately 10 €).

From Naples, it is possible to embark at Molo Beverello or likewise at the small port of Mergellina.

The most convenient alternative is Molo Beverello with more frequent journeys and a greater possibility of selection.

By air

From the International airport of Naples - Capodichino, approximately 7 km from Molo Beverello and the Port of Mergellina, the most convenient method of transportation is by taxi. The journey should take approximately 25-30 minutes and the average price of the course is 25 € for both of the ports.

From the Port of Capri to the La Floridiana

From the Port of Marina Grande, the funicular railway (duration of the journey is 3 minutes, cost is 1.30 € per person) or taxi service (10 minutes, approximately 12 €) is available to the Piazzetta. From the Piazzetta, it is obligatory to continue by foot along the principal shopping streets of Via Vittorio Emanuele and then Via Camerelle. At the end of Via Camerelle, follow the indications for the La Floridiana by continuing in a descent. The hotel is located approximately 30 metres after some degrees in descent.

Clients are advised to consign any large or heavy luggage for an approximate fee of 11 € per baggage to the porters which are located at the ferryboat or hydrofoil landing.

The more economic alternative (4 € per baggage) is to consign the luggage to the porters located at the taxi stand behind the Piazzetta (1 minute by foot from the exit of the funicular railway in the opposite direction of the hotel).
