I have travelled Europe and know their beds are more firm than what we are used to; however, this bed was truly like sleeping on a table. I tried just sit up against head board to read and couldn't because it hurt my bottom. Also, the cleaning lady twice just opened my door without knocking. Lastly due to arriving after 24hours and after going to bed, I woke up at 2:30am thinking it was 6:30am. I was obviously too sleepy when misread my watch. I had gotten up, showered and dressed for the day and came down stairs to find the big clock there read 2:30am. In my dismay, I decided to smoke a cigarette outside the door so the doorman opened it and sat at the desk while I did. The next day, I got a lengthy lecture on how it was "not correct" for me to do that as he had to sit at the desk to assure my safety. I had already politely told him of my accidental reading of the time at the time it occurred and during the lecture. I finally had to say (after his 5th statement) that I understood and would have normally never done that and that he only had to make his statement once because I understood. I would never recommend this hotel.
