Auf der Zufahrtsstraße zum Hotel stehen an zwei Stellen je vier offene Müllcontainer, der Straßenrand ist übersät mit Müll, Matratzen etc. Scheußlicher Eindruck.
Die Badewanne in unserem Zimmer war unzureichend abgedichtet, nach dem Duschen stand eine Wasserlache auf dem Boden des Badezimmers.
Der Bettüberwurf trug Blutflecke, im Frühstücksraum waren zwei Stühle ebenfalls blutfleckig.

Hôtel situe de façon idéal. Les jardins superbes sont malheureusement mal entretenus. Nous en gardons un très bon souvenir pour la beauté du site.

Lovely location with clear views of the temples in the middle distance, around the hotel (really more of a small country palazzo ) are really charming gardens with lovely flowers and clusters of grapes hanging from the pergolas.
Breakfast was in the delightful garden. Disappointed that dinner is not served there but served instead in a nearby 'sister' hotel, (which was not quite so nice as the Domus Aurea).
We had forgotten to leave our room keys in the previous hotel in Palermo. However, the Domus Aurea reception staff phoned the hotel for us cheerfully returned them for us with no charge.
