Am geplanten Anreisetag waren zwischen Messina und Palermo die Autobahn und Staatsstraße blockiert, wir mussten deshalb kurzfristig auswärts 1 Nacht buchen. Die Verrechnung von 5 geplanten Nächten war vertraglich zwar nachvollziehbar, erschien uns als Kunden, angesichts des Grundes (Erdrutsch) jedoch etwas kleinlich.
Die Vorauszahlung der verbliebenen 4 Nächte direkt bei Ankunft im Hotel erstaunte uns einigermaßen.

Le zone in comune sono un po' sacrificate (zona televisore e bar troppo trafficate). Le altre sale sono molto belle (ad esempio il ristorante) e nel complesso è andato tutto molto bene.
Un apprezzamento particolare va al personale.

Schönes Hotel direkt am Strand. Personal hilfsbereit und freundlich. Verpflegung ausgezeichnet, sehr gute Auswahl an Weinen. Zimmer teilweise mit Meerblick und Balkon. Weniger angenehm ist die fehlende Infrastruktur, zum Schaufensterbummel oder Bar oder Cafebesuch muß man einen Abstecher in den Nachbarort unternehmen, Auto ist dann von Vorteil. Ansonsten ist das La Battigia für einen erholsamen Strandurlaub mit etwas Kultur sehr zu empfehlen.
