General Description
Ca' Del Gallo Bed and Breakfast is located in a quiet area of Venice within easy reach of the city’s most important sites, on foot or by water-bus, from the Basilica of Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari (5 minutes away on foot) and the Great School of St. Rocco (with famous paintings by Tintoretto) to the famous Rialto Bridge (about 15 minutes away).
Located behind Campo Santa Margherita (St. Margaret’s square), a popular meeting place for students, tourists and Venetians full of pubs, clubs and restaurants, the hotel is just 5 minutes away from Piazzale Roma (car and bus terminal to and from the airport) and 10 minutes away from Santa Lucia train station.
Guests may check in after 12 p.m, and are requested to check out by 11.30 a.m; staff are available 24 hours a day to meet any needs our guests may have.
Fabrizio and his staff are pleased to welcome guests into comfortable and recently renovated surroundings and they are happy to provide any information that our guests may require regarding artistic itineraries, water-bus times and museums.

The rooms were fully renovated in 2005. They are bright, have at least two windows, both single and double rooms are available and an extra bed can be added upon request. They have air conditioning, a colour television, an en suite bathroom, a hairdryer and heating.

How to reach the hotel
By car
Venice can be reached on the motorway network by taking the A4 from Trieste and Turin, the A27 from Belluno and the A13 from Bologna.
Cars can be parked in various car parks:
- The Tronchetto car park, at the end of Ponte della Libertà.
- Car parks in Piazzale Roma, in particular the San Marco car park or the council car park for 24-hour stays.
Buses leave from Ponte della Libertà for Piazzale Roma every 5 minutes.
There are also some very affordable car parks located in front of Mestre train station, which is connected by train to Venice (trains run every 5/10 minutes, journey time 10 minutes).
By train
The hotel is about 10 minutes away from Venice Santa Lucia train station. From the station, cross the Grande Canal on the Ponte Dei Scalzi towards Tolentini, continue until reaching Fondamenta del Gaffaro, head along Marcello Bridge, turn right leaving the bridge in Fondamenta Malcanton behind you, and continue along the road until reaching Campiello del Basego'. The hotel is located at street number 3610.
By plane
From Venice Marco Polo Airport, the ATVO blue bus is available to Piazzale Roma. The journey takes 20 minutes and costs around €3.00 per person.
Alternatively, taxis are available for a cost of around €20.00.
The Ca' del Gallo B&B is about 5 minutes away from Piazzale Roma.
From Treviso - Sant'Angelo airport, buses are available to Piazzale Roma; the journey takes about 1 hour.
