By car
- Take the A12 Genova - Livorno motorway to the Rosignano exit. Take the Aurelia state road until reaching Venturina - Isola d'Elba and from here, head to Piombino Marittima.
- Take the A1 Bologna - Firenze - Pisa – Livorno motorway to the Rosignano exit. Take the Aurelia state road to Venturina - Isola d'Elba and from here, head to Piombino Marittima.
- Take the Firenze - Pisa - Livorno Strada di Grande Comunicazione (SGC road) to the Firenze - Scandicci exit. Continue towards Collesalvetti and get back on the motorway until Rosignano Marittima; take the expressway to Venturina - Isola d'Elba and from here, head to Piombino Marittima.
- Take the A12 Roma – Grosseto motorway until reaching the Aurelia state road at the Venturina - Isola d'Elba exit. Head towards Piombino Marittima.
From Piombino (the port to Elba Island), there are two boat companies providing transit every hour. The trip is 60 minutes.
From Portoferraio, head towards Procchio/Marciana for 6km, and then follow the directions to La Biodola until reaching the sea.
By train
Piombino Marittima is the closest train station to the ferryboat boarding dock.
By plane
The La Pila airport in Marina di Campo is connected to the continent by numerous flights during the summer operated by both Italian and foreign airlines.
