By car
- Take the A12 Genova – Livorno motorway to the Rosignano exit; head along the SS Aurelia state road to Venturina - Isola d'Elba and from here, to Piombino Marittima.
- Take the A1 Bologna - Firenze - Pisa – Livorno motorway to the Rosignano exit, continue along the SS Aurelia state road to Venturina - Isola d'Elba and from here, to Piombino Marittima.
- Take the Strada di Grande Comunicazione Firenze - Pisa – Livorno connecting road to the Firenze - Scandicci exit. Head towards Collesalvetti and turn back on to the motorway until reaching Rosignano Marittima; take the expressway to Venturina - Isola d'Elba and from here, head to Piombino Marittima.
- Take the A12 Roma – Grosseto motorway to the SS Aurelia state road, getting off at the Venturina - Isola d'Elba exit; head towards Piombino Marittima.
From Piombino (the port to Elba island), two companies (Toremar and Moby Line) provide transportation around every hour. The trip is around 60 minutes.
From Portoferraio, head towards Porto Azzurro; the Hotel Plaza is located on the right after the junction for Capoliveri

The train station closest to the ferryboat dock is the Piombino Marittima station.
By plane
La Pila Airport in Marina di Campo is connected to the mainland by numerous flights during the summer provided by both Italian and international carriers.
