How to reach the hotel
By car
Venice is easily reachable from the A4 motorway from Trieste and Turin, the A27 from Belluno and the A13 from Bologna.
Follow the signs for Venezia Lido, once you reach the lagoon, cross the Ponte della Libertà bridge (a long road with two lanes which connects Venice to the mainland) and follow the signs for FERRY BOAT (line 17) which guests can drive their cars on to.
Guests are advised to take the ferry as it means they can park near the hotel without having any problems transporting luggage.
For those not wanting to take their car on board, a variety of car parks are available:
- Tronchetto car park at the end of Ponte della Libertà.
- Piazzale Roma or San Marco car park (normally used for day parking), alternatively the Comunale car park offers 24 hour parking.
From Piazzale Roma take any of the following ACTV services: 1, 51, 61, N (night service) to the Lido (S.M.Elisabetta) dock.
Guests are advised to take line 51 (journey time 35 minutes) price €6.00.
Once you reach the docks, Russo Palace Hotel is only 500 metres away on the left.
By train
From Venice's Santa Lucia train station, take steam boat line 5.1 to the “Lido" stop.
By plane
From Venice's Marco Polo Airport, take the Alilaguna service which takes passengers to San Nicolò al Lido in 55 minutes. The ticket to the Lido (S.M.Elisabetta) costs €12.00 and can be purchased on board for a small supplement. Services depart every half hour.
Alternatively, from the airport take a private water taxi or the ACTV or ATVO bus to Piazzale Roma.
From Piazzale Roma take the public hydrofoil to the Lido.
From Treviso's "Antonio Canova" Airport, take a direct bus to Venezia - Piazzale Roma.
