General Description
The Hotel Villa Rosa is a small family-run hotel surrounded by the lush greenery of thick vegetation close to the beach of Barbarossa, one of the most natural and unspoiled beaches of Elba Island.
A lovely panoramic walk leads to the characteristic town of Porto Azzurro, famous for the piazza overlooking the sea and rich in artisan shops, characteristic bars, and charming restaurants.
Guests are welcomed into simple and modern rooms where they can enjoy a green garden, a small bar, a spacious restaurant, and extensive private parking (with a limited number of spaces).
The beach has a small wharf for mooring, and guests can take windsurfing lessons, diving, use paddle boats and canoes, or rent beach umbrellas and sun beds.

By car
- Take the A12 Genova – Livorno motorway to the Rosignano exit; continue along the SS Aurelia state road until reaching Venturina - Isola d'Elba and from here, go to Piombino Marittima.
- Take the A1 Bologna - Firenze - Pisa - Livorno motorway to the Rosignano exit, then continue along the SS Aurelia state road until reaching Venturina - Isola d'Elba and from here, go to Piombino Marittima.
- Take the Strada di Grande Comunicazione Firenze - Pisa - Livorno connecting road to the Firenze - Scandicci exit. Head towards Collesalvetti and get back on the motorway until reaching Rosignano Marittima; take the expressway to Venturina - Isola d'Elba and from here, go to Piombino Marittima.
- Take the A12 Roma – Grosseto motorway to the SS Aurelia state road, getting off at the Venturina - Isola d'Elba exit; continue to Piombino Marittima.
From Piombino Marittima, take the boat to Portoferraio. Follow the directions for Porto Azzurro and continue to Rio Marina. The hotel is located 200m away from the signs for Barbarossa beach.
By train
The closest railway station to the ferryboats is the Piombino Marittima station.
By plane
Marina di Campo La Pila Airport is connected by numerous flights during the summer operated by Italian and foreign carriers.
From Pisa Galileo Galilei Airport, a shuttle is available to Elba Island upon request for a fee.
