General Description
Il Monastero is situated in the Geremeas (Quartu Sant'Elena) district, at the entrance to the Sette Fratelli National Park, conveniently located near the white beaches of Kala and Moru (600 metres away).
Set in an old monastic dwelling, it has been transformed into a farming business where the lovely, original, citrus orchard still remains.
The original thick stone walls are still present as are the coloured plaster, the traditional handmade tiles and the characteristic wooden and wrought iron furniture.
The careful restoration was carried out using original materials and has successfully maintained the characteristic walls which were built using "ladini" (earth and straw).
Il Monastero provides a traditional, warm, Sardinian welcome courtesy of its excellent staff who are the pride of the hotel.
The prices include a traditional, Italian breakfast of brioches and coffee.
Guests staying at Il Monastero must purchase the compulsory club card which must be paid for on site at a price of €1.50 per person per day.

Il Monastero offers luxurious hospitality in historically decorated rooms, characterised by wooden furnishings, wrought iron beds, stone walls, wooden ceilings, and stone floors.
Some of the rooms are located in the oldest part of the hotel dating back to the 19th century, while others are found in rooms used by the farm at the beginning of the 20th century.
Overlooking a spacious courtyard, the rooms are equipped with air conditioning, satellite colour television, a telephone, a safety deposit box upon request, and an en suite bathroom with a shower.

The Sala del Re and the Sala della Corte dining rooms are characterised by the impressive stone walls, the wooden and cane floors, the large iron chandeliers and the elegant décor.
The restaurant also has a wood-burning oven for pizza, and a large barbecue for making roasts and having barbecues.
The Taverna del Principe, located on 2 floors, provides a pleasant area where guests can enjoy delicious cocktails along with fine wines and liqueurs typical of Sardinia (Mirto, Filuferru, and Cannonau).
