General Description
Locanda Mossa Dei Barbari is situated in the suggestive medieval village of Buriano, at the top of Poggio Arcione, in a splendid panoramic position overlooking the Maremma plains.
Opened in June 2004, the Locanda guarantees unforgettable holidays in an area steeped in history and tradition.
The welcoming rooms have an independent entrance with a reserved parking space; the entire structure is covered by free Wi-Fi so guests can surf the net at their leisure and check their emails.

How to reach the hotel
By car
From Livorno:
Take the SS1 Aurelia state road to the Gavorraano exit, continue along the SP152 provincial road, pass Gavorrano train station, Potassa and the junction for Ravi and Caldana. Once you reach Grilli, continue along the SP152 until you reach the roundabout then join the SP43 heading towards Castiglione della Pescaia - Buriano, pass through Bozzone and after approximately 1.5 km, turn right towards Buriano.
The Locanda is at the top of the hill (Poggio Arcione) at the highest point of the road which circles the town which leads from the left hand side of the church.
From Rome:
Take the SS1 Aurelia state road until you reach the exit for Grosseto Sud. Continue along Via Aurelia Sud and enter Grosseto, continue into Viale Sonnino, turn left into Via Telamonio, turn right into Via Porta Loretano, bear left into Via Fabio Massimo, then turn right into Viale Giulio Cesare and then left into Via Nazzario Sauro and continue for 9 km along the SP3 provincial road. Once you reach Macchiascandona, at the roundabout turn immediate right onto the SP43 provincial road, after 3 km turn slight left to start the uphill road towards Buriano.

From Siena:
Take the SS223 state road until you reach the exit for Roselle, follow Strada dello Sbrirro (SP41) until you reach the junction with the SP152 provincial road and turn left, after the flyover turn right on to the SP43 then after 300 metres, turn left towards Buriano and after 1 km, turn right and take the uphill road towards Buriano.
