The Relais San Rocco is a beautiful 19th century villa located in the picturesque Alagna Valsesia, surrounded by a lovely countryside among the Valsesian and Valdostano hills of Monte Rosa.
Expertly renovated to create a perfect union of historic and modern, the hotel is unique for its luxurious rooms, from the lovely lobby with its charming arches and monolithic columns leading to the lounge, to the bar, the impressive stone staircase and the garden terrace that overlooks the valley.
The large hall with original stuccoes, wainscotting and high quality floorings provides a luxurious place to hold any type of event. The frescoed rooms along with the antique kitchen provide an intimate and traditional atmosphere where guests can relax and unwind in good company.

How to reach the hotel
By car
From Milan:
Take the A26 Voltri - Gravellona Toce motorway to the Ghemme/Romagnano Sesia exit. Upon reaching Borgo Sesia and the entrance to the valley, head towards Varallo and Alagna until reaching Campertogno. Follow the directions on the right for Relais San Rocco.
From Turin:
Take the A4 motorway towards Milano until reaching the Carisio exit. Head towards Cossato, at the first traffic circle, take the Gattinara exit, at the second traffic circle, head straight towards Cossato, and at the next traffic circle, turn right towards Gattinara. Upon reaching Gattinara head towards Alagna, Laghi, Valsesia and then towards Campertogno. Upon reaching Campertogno, follow the directions on the right for Relais San Rocco.
Scenic route through the rice fields and Baraggia (with a lovely view of Monte Rosa and, on certain pathways, of Cervino)
From Turin, take the A4 motorway towards Milano until reaching the Carisio exit. Head towards Cossato, Buronzo (with beautiful medieval houses), Rovasenda (with a lovely medieval castle), Roasio, Sostegno, Crevacuore, and Borgosesia. Upon reaching Valsesia, follow the directions for Varallo and Alagna until reaching Campertogno.
By train
The closest railway station is the Varallo Sesia Station. The station only has automated ticket vending machines; for longer trips, travellers must go to a travel agency.
By plane
The local airports are:
- Milan Malpensa International Airport (120km away) – take the bus to Milan Central Station, then the train to Varallo Sesia and a bus to Alagna;
- Turin Caselle International Airport (160km away) – take the bus to Turin Porta Nuova, then the train to Varallo Sesia and the bus to Alagna;
- Milan Linate International Airport (160km away) – take the bus to Milan Central Station, then the train to Varallo Sesia and the bus to Alagna;
