Palazzo Leopoldo is an elegant nineteenth century style villa situated in Radda in Chianti, a medieval town in the heart of the Chianti Classico region.
The building dates back to the 1300's but reached the height of its splendour during the Renaissance when it was the home of the noble Minucci family, one of the most influential families of the area.
The building's interior provides testimony to its glorious past with frescoes, terracotta floors, fireplaces and the splendid kitchen where the delicious buffet breakfast is prepared every morning and which also houses cooking courses and special dinners.
Palazzo Leopoldo has a beautiful terrace which overlooks the Chianti hills where breakfast is served during the Summer months.
The hotel also has a spa and fitness area with a heated indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, solarium and offers beauty and massage treatments.
The qualified staff are always available to help guests chose the right treatment for them and to suggest individual packages created to satisfy any needs guests may have.
Personalised packages are available for special events including weddings or gala evenings.
Guests at the Palazzo Leopoldo have access to an exercise bike, running machine and weights bench in the fitness centre.
Palazzo Leopoldo's guests also have free use of the outdoor pool at the nearby Ultimo Mulino 4 star Ross Hotel located only 5 minutes drive from Radda in Chianti. The pool offers beach towel hire as well as a light lunch or complete meal at the hotel restaurant.

The Palazzo Leopoldo's restaurant “La Perla del Palazzo” offers guests the possibility to sample typical regional dishes: from home made pasta with game sauces and seasonal vegetables, to exquisite meat main courses which vary from steaks to stuffed or braised meat and stews not to mention typical desserts like tiramisù.
The menu is accompanied by a prestigious wine list including Tuscan wines as well as others from the rest of Italy, chosen by the hotel staff who are happy to advise guests on the best accompaniment to their meal.
The “La Perla del Palazzo” restaurant is also the perfect location to hold special events, capable of preparing personalised menus showcasing the delcious flavours of the Chianti region.
Palazzo Leopoldo is pleased to offer its guests the chance to learn the secrets of Chianti and Tuscan cuisine.
The course is held in the building's historic kitchen, run by Valentina and Anita, two sisters born and raised in Chianti who thanks to their family who own a restaurant, have learnt all the secrets of local cuisine.
The course starts at 17:00 and lasts around 4 or 5 hours.
Under the guidance of Valentina and Anita, guests will prepare traditional recipies which will then be sampled during dinner accompanied by a glass of delicious Chianti Classico.

From the A1 Milano-Napoli Motorway, take the Firenze - Impruneta exit and join the Firenze-Siena motorway access road, take the San Donato in Poggio exit towards Castellina in Chianti.
At Castellina in Chianti, turn right for Radda in Chianti and after 15km you will arrive at the hotel.
From the South
From the A1 Napoli-Milano Motorway, take the Valdarno exit; take the SS408 State Road towards Gaiole in Chianti and after about 20km turn right on to the SS429 towards Radda in Chianti, after 7km you will arrive in Radda in Chianti.
By train
